Solution

1. Log in to the Webspace Control Panel.

2. Click the “Databases” tab.

3. Click on the "phpMyAdmin" icon of the database that you use for your website.

4. In phpMyAdmin, select the table "jos_users". If the prefix of your Joomla installation is other than "jos" (for example, Gf7a9), select the appropriate _users table instead (for example, Gf7a9_users).

5. Click on "Edit" for the record of the user whose password you want to change.

6. Select "MD5" as the function for the "password" field. Enter the new password in the "Value" column.

7. Save the change with the "OK" button.
