Solution

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) adds an invisible key to each mail that the mail server sends. A key must be stored in the domain name record of the domain name system, too. The recipient can then compare the key that he has received in the e-mail with the key that was stored in the domain name system to find out, whether the e-mail was indeed sent by the domain that the sender’s e-mail address shows. DKIM is sometimes used to increase the probability that e-mails pass recipients’ spam filters.

Our web space accounts support DKIM for incoming and outgoing mail. The key required for this is managed automatically for you.

You can also use DKIM with externally managed domains, but then you have to enter the domain key yourself in your name server. You can call up which entries are necessary and which key you have to use in the e-mail configuration of the webspace control panel.
