Symptom
You have activated a Wordpress plugin or updated an existing plugin. Your website displays white (blank) pages since.
Cause
The plugin contains an error or is incompatible with your version of Wordpress.
Solution
To regain access to your website you must deactivate the plugin.
1. Connect to your web space by FTP and descend into the /[website]/wp-content/plugins directory. (Instead of [website] enter „httpdocs“ if this is the main domain of your web space or the domain name of your add-on domain, where Wordpress has been installed).
2. Rename the defective plugin.
If you do not know which plugin is causing the issue, rename the /plugins directory or delete it.
Afterwards login to your Wordpress backend from your web browser and re-activate your plugins step by step. Doing so enables you to identify the defective plugin.
